As we remember the sadness and tragedy of 9/11, I’m also reminded of the way our country and communities came together in the days that followed. A spirit of service and volunteerism emerged as we honored the bravery of our first responders and mourned for the victims and their families. So today, I’m thinking about what I can do to be a better citizen. What more can I do to help my neighbor, to help those in need, and to make the world a better place. Whether it’s at your kids’ school, your church, or with a non-profit or service organization, I encourage you to get involved in your community and give – give your money or your time, or both. You’ll be glad you did.
