One very important issue to us is the integrity of our judicial system. Our current system in Florida works because our courts are not political and we think it should stay that way. That’s why we are urging you to VOTE YES TO RETAIN OUR FLORIDA SUPREME COURT JUSTICES.
Here’s why:
- Florida Supreme Court Justices make complex and difficult decisions based on our democracy’s commitment to justice for all. They decide what is right and just based on the facts, the evidence, and the law . . . not on public opinion polls, media coverage, partisan trends, or who has the most money or political influence.
- The Governor appoints a justice only after these justices are carefully vetted by a nonpartisan Judicial Nominating Commission.
- The politics of out-of-state special interest groups and power-hungry politicians who are trying to unfairly remove these judges through their own campaigns.
